Taylor Zakhar Perez<\/a>\u00a0has shared an exciting update regarding the\u00a0<\/span>Red, White & Royal Blue<\/span><\/em>\u00a0sequel.<\/span><\/p>\n

Last year, fans were sent into a frenzy when director Matthew L\u00f3pez and Casey McQuiston \u2013 who wrote the original novel \u2013 announced that a second film was in the works.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cYes, there\u2019s gonna be a sequel,\u201d the American playwright exclaimed during a fan screening, with the\u00a0<\/span>One Last Stop<\/span><\/em>\u00a0author adding: \u201cMatthew and I are writing it together. That\u2019s all we can say.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

In October, Amazon MGM officially announced that the highly anticipated follow-up had been formally greenlit and titled\u00a0<\/span>Red, White & Royal Wedding.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Now, Zakhar Perez has shared a new update regarding the project, specifically when he\u2019ll be stepping back into the shoes of first son Alex Claremont-Diaz.<\/span><\/p>\n

While attending Carlos Eric Lopez\u2019s fifth annual Dia De Muertos Gala with\u00a0<\/span>Love, Victor\u00a0<\/span><\/a><\/em>star Michael Cimino,\u00a0<\/span>The Kissing Booth 2\u00a0<\/span><\/em>actor revealed: \u201cWe\u2019re about to work on [the film], we\u2019re shooting, the\u00a0<\/span>Red, White [& Royal Blue]\u00a0<\/span><\/em>sequel in the new year, and, you know, just continue to build.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

When asked how excited he was about returning to the\u00a0<\/span>Red, White, & Royal Blue\u00a0<\/span><\/em>universe, Zakhar Perez said he was \u201clooking forward to it.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s a huge appetite for the sequel \u2013 I mean, I read the script and it\u2019s really good,\u201d the actor continued.<\/span><\/p>\n

Toward the end of his interview, Zakhar Perez remained tight-lipped about plot details, telling the interviewer he couldn\u2019t reveal anything.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cNothing. Nothing at all. I can not; they will come for me. Amazon will find me,\u201d he concluded.<\/span><\/p>\n
