In a candid conversation with actor Eugene Levy for Apple TV+\u2019s\u00a0<em data-start=\"763\" data-end=\"787\">The Reluctant Traveler<\/em>, William reflected on what the past year has been like for his family.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"862\" data-end=\"956\">\u201cIt\u2019s been dreadful,\u201d he admitted. \u201cFrom a personal family point of view, it\u2019s been brutal.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"958\" data-end=\"1274\">Balancing his royal duties with being a devoted husband and father, William, 43, said the experience had tested them all. \u201cLife is sent to test us, and being able to overcome that is what makes us who we are,\u201d he shared, adding that both Kate and his father have shown remarkable strength throughout their battles.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/levanews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Frame-FB-1080-x-1080-32-1.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1276\" data-end=\"1588\">King Charles, who has continued to attend public engagements in recent months, recently offered a brief update on his health, saying he was \u201cnot doing too bad\u201d and noting that \u201chalf the problem is detecting it in time.\u201d He added optimistically: \u201cThe great thing, I think, is they\u2019re getting better and better.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1590\" data-end=\"1941\">The King\u2019s specific type of cancer has never been publicly disclosed \u2014 a decision said to have been made deliberately. A royal source told\u00a0<em data-start=\"1729\" data-end=\"1740\">The Times<\/em>\u00a0in 2024 that the choice \u201cwas a conscious one, to be able to reach out to the widest number of people who are experiencing the disease, rather than narrow the focus onto a particular form of cancer.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1943\" data-end=\"2190\">While Kate is now in remission and gradually returning to royal duties, the family is still navigating the long road of recovery.
