Taylor Zakhar Perez has peeled back the curtain on his close bond with Nicholas Galitzine.<\/p>\n

Back in August 2023, the two dreamy talents starred in the film adaptation of Casey McQuiston\u2019s acclaimed novel\u00a0Red, White & Royal Blue.<\/p>\n

Directed by Matthew L\u00f3pez, the Prime Video feature follows the passionate enemies-to-lovers romance between Alex (Zakhar Perez), the son of America\u2019s first female president (Uma Thurman), and Henry (Galitzine), a British prince.<\/p>\n

Upon its release,\u00a0Red, White & Royal Blue\u00a0received universal acclaim for its faithfulness to the source material and the electric chemistry between\u00a0Zakhar Perez\u00a0and\u00a0Galitzine.<\/p>\n

The heartfelt rom-com also earned a certified fresh score of 75% on\u00a0Rotten Tomatoes.<\/p>\n

Since appearing in the beloved film, Zakhar Perez and Galitzine\u2019s stars have skyrocketed \u2013\u00a0with the latter recently making waves for his roles\u00a0in Mary & George\u00a0and\u00a0The Idea of You.<\/p>\n

On 12 December,\u00a0Entertainment Weekly\u00a0named the\u00a0Handsome Devil\u00a0star one of their Entertainers of the Year for 2024.<\/p>\n

To celebrate Galitzine\u2019s recent accomplishments, Zakhar Perez teamed up with the news outlet to pay tribute to his co-star and friend.<\/p>\n

\u201cHaving had the privilege of sharing the screen with him in [Red, White & Royal Blue], I can say firsthand that his talent and dedication are evident in everything he does,\u201d he said at the start of his statement.<\/p>\n

\u201cBehind every \u201covernight success\u201d are years of hard work, and Nicholas\u2019 journey, spanning more than a decade, is a testament to his perseverance and passion for his craft.\u201d<\/p>\n

Zakhar Perez then reflected on meeting Galitzine for the first time \u2013 which took place during thier first rehearsal for\u00a0<\/span>Red, White & Royal Blue.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cEveryone graciously gave us space and time to chat and connect, allowing us to find our rhythm before diving into the work. Contrary to popular belief, we rarely get to choose our co-stars, and this project was no exception,\u201d he continued.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThat made this time together even more valuable, knowing we\u2019d be spending the next three months filming and then the following year promoting the movie.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to understanding the \u201cgravity\u201d of doing justice to the beloved book, the\u00a0<\/span>Minx\u00a0<\/span><\/em>star said that he and Galitzine bonded over their shared love for travel, music and passion for acting.<\/span><\/p>\n

Elsewhere in his piece, Zakhar Perez fondly recalled shooting the film\u2019s beloved wedding cake scene and the wholesome texts they shared about it, adding that it \u201creally solidified our friendship.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAfter that, I knew we\u2019d be friends for a long time \u2013\u00a0whether he liked it or not, he wasn\u2019t getting rid of me that easily,\u201d he said.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Toward the end of his tribute, Zakhar Perez lauded Galitzine for his work ethic before expressing gratitude for their friendship off camera.<\/p>\n

\u201cGetting to know the real Nicholas, beyond work and the business, has been incredible,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s someone I genuinely enjoy spending time with, both on and off set, and we\u2019ve built a brotherhood-like friendship, which is something extremely rare in this line of work.\u201d<\/p>\n

Zakhar Perez\u2019s tribute for Galitzine comes a few months after Prime Video\u00a0greenlit a sequel to\u00a0Red, White & Royal Blue.<\/p>\n
