Red, White & Royal Blue: Here\u2019s what Taylor Zakhar Perez said about the sequel\u2019s plot<\/h1>\n

Taylor Zakhar Perez has addressed the\u00a0Red, White & Royal Blue\u00a0sequel and its highly anticipated plot.<\/p>\n

Back in May, fans were sent into a frenzy when director Matthew L\u00f3pez and author Casey McQuiston \u2013 who wrote the original novel \u2013 announced that a second film was officially on the way.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, there\u2019s gonna be a sequel,\u201d the American playwright exclaimed during a fan screening.<\/p>\n

The Along For The Ride\u00a0author added, \u201cMatthew and I are writing it together. That\u2019s all we can say.\u201d<\/p>\n

While fans have been eager to learn more about the film\u2019s plot, the same can\u2019t be said for Zakhar Perez, who told\u00a0Variety\u00a0that he\u2019s avoiding script details.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t tell you anything, and this is for a fact because I said, \u2018Don\u2019t tell me anything, because if I\u2019m asked about it, it\u2019s going to be tough not to Tom Holland it and talk a little about Spider-Man,’\u201d he joked while attending the 2024 Emmy Awards.<\/p>\n

When journalist Marc Malkin encouraged him to give just a little sliver of information, the\u00a0Kissing Booth 3\u00a0star doubled down on being in the dark.<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean, the only thing I know is the special edition of the book, the blue book that came out, that\u2019s the only thing I can think of being in the second one,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

While Zakhar Perez didn\u2019t share any tea on\u00a0Red, White & Royal Blue 2\u00a0plot points, he did share his hopes for his and Nicholas Galitzine\u2019s characters.<\/p>\n

\u201cI talked to Casey, I talked to Matthew, and I think it\u2019s just continuing to grow these two characters, because I think we just saw a nice little slice of who these guys are and what they\u2019re able to do now,\u201d\u00a0he explained.<\/p>\n

Zakhar Perez\u2019s interview comes a few days after the film\u2019s producer, Greg Berlanti,\u00a0revealed to the aforementioned news outlet\u00a0that L\u00f3pez and McQuiston were nearly done with the script.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat\u2019s so great is that it feels like the natural next step in the journey of these characters,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

The film adaptation of\u00a0Red, White & Royal Blue\u00a0first captivated audiences in August 2023 following its release on Prime Video.<\/p>\n
